Bouillon d'Art gallery is happy to present Amey's new exhibition, "Bordeaux et son architecture" (Bordeaux and its architecture).
Amey has been with the gallery for 3 years now and today she continues her work exploring the connection between places and memory. Passionate about architecture and open to its social links, Amey wanders the streets of the cities and feels their moods, the unsaid things of the neighborhoods and the buildings. Amey takes photos, appropriates the places charged with emotions and worked from points of view that she chooses, distorts, hides or emphasizes in order to get in the end image of what she felt during her explorations and the production of the work.
Her paintings are powerful, dynamic, and convey a sensitivity close to that of Street Art. Her latest exhibition is as engaged as the urban works she has previously produced. Following her work on Istanbul and its mosques, the artist wanted to go back to her roots before taking us on a maybe even more graphic journey…
