Presentation

Created in 2011 the 220 Collectif consists of Gregory Dassesse and Jonathan du Mortier. The collective has grown with the arrival of Basile Beauvois.

Gregory Dassesse is a scribble of the eternal, using his pencils and his brushes for his illustrations and paintings. Jonathan du Mortier, "photographer of doors & windows ", works as a photographer, assistant and editor.

The two alchemists study spaces that contemporary men have lost. In the fringes of cities, nature claims its rights over the frenetic cult of the new. They rush colors in the sky meticulously. They write tales on porous walls, in their wrinkles. The pictorial manipulation accelerates even more the aging of these strange images.

Faced with these familiar ghosts, we are looking for their origins in the history of painting and photography. With the digital revolution, we are witnessing a silent rebirth of landscape art.
