Born in 1994 - Belgium
Claire de Reggae is a Belgian artist born in 1993 in Liege. Since a young age, the Belgian artist was passionate about drawing and painting. At the age of 16, the life of the young woman took a decisive turn: her modeling career took off. Claire had to juggle between her classes and her fashion career. A balance that she mastered very well since 2012, she graduated as first of her class, with a degree in Plastic Arts.
Claire began to travel around the world but never forgot her first love: art. She draws her inspiration from her unusual profession. With the help of a flexible trait, she depicts perfect women with perfect hair, which she did regularly since the colors of the parades were an integral part of her artistic work. Her paintings could be described as "Glamour Pop" as she likes to call them: the models and nature mix with the pop art of Andy Warhol to create an elegant harmony.
At first, the young artist chose to work with gouache and acrylics as well as markers and collage. She first tried working on smaller formats and she slowly change to paintings that measured even two meters. Claire works with a graphic tablet, which allows her to develop her projects anytime, anywhere and any size.
