Ernest T

Ernest T. is a French conceptual artist whose works focus on the life of artists, the world of art or the false in art. He has participated in numerous exhibitions since the 1960s, notably in France at the Center Pompidou or at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris (MAMVP). His works are available in the form of quotes on artists and the art world or in the form of paintings or sculptures. Ironically on this very coded and serious environment, he claims the status of modesty by making numerous references to the history of art. In addition, Ernest T. appeared in various artistic journals such as artpress or Artforum between 1985 and 1988. These were publications presenting a selection of quotes and historical articles related to artists and the art world. These interventions were titled Cloaca Maxima.
