Carmen Thompson is a Brazilian painter born in 1946. She currently lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.
When she arrived in Brazil, Carmen Thompson was only ten years old and she started studying classical dance, she tried as well modern and contemporary dance. Carmen used her experience as a dancer like a tool for her creation.
Carmen Thompson works with a wide variety of materials for her creation of masks, sculptures, paintings, watercolor and drawings. In 2008 she started experimenting with printing with watercolors as well, she interferes in the printing process by adding colors to produce a chemical reaction.
