Influenced by years of working in the design industry, John Bryson’s photography is simple, graphic and striking. His latest series is inspired by landscape and our experiences of memory and explores the notion of time through the use of triptychs, changing exposures and time lapse photography.
John Bryson is a photographer based in London, UK, trained at the University of Concordia in Montreal, and the Ontario College of Art on Toronto.
‘When we begin to see, we start by distinguishing forms. As our focus develops, ?we begin to delineate or create the world around us. We are more attracted to contrasts, to black and white then to brighter colours. And so we explore the world.
Whether we are exploring ways of seeing or ways of thinking, images and ideas ?take shape over time. They outline our vision. They take on new meaning which change over time. They hover between the abstract and the real, ready to serve.’
