Born in 1958 - Canada
Louise Larose, currently a high school fine arts teacher, has a peculiar art practice, between abstract and figurative art, highlighting her sources of inspiration.
Her taste for art comes from her family, her brother and her sister whom are also artists, share with her this tast, this passion for art. Her art reflects her life. Every single thing that is a part of her art comes from her life, a part of what makes her feel alive: nature, travels, freedon and intuition in front of purity of feelings. It is an opening to intimate, and to parts of her never materialized. Her artistic process is a sweet mix of a known departure and controled by an unknown arrival never explored.
Watercolour and drawing are her first weapons, preparing the field to the entire freedom allowed by acrylic. Her brush becomes more important than her pencil, and it's by using colours that she draws, that she traces lines, flows and puts shapes on the canvas. Through the mix between light and emotions, the contrast is astonishing. Her artwork is a communication of her knowledge and her passion, of her skill and her love for art. Her artwork is an open window to her world.
After a lot of exhibitions in Québec, Louise Larose now participates to worldwide events and is represented in art galeries in Paris, New-York and Canada.
