David Lidbetter is a Canadian artist born in 1962 who developed a fascination for Canadian wilderness since a young age. He works near his house and studio in Ottawa, in the corners of Temaganami, Gatineau and Algonquin Park.
After several years of exploring different mediums and subjects, David Lidbetter started depicting the beautiful Canadian landscapes in a very personal style.
He can spend hours in the local forests and lakes to photograph, study and appropiate elements that will eventually become great paintings. He worked a lot with oil paint at first but has recently started working with watercolors.
