Zing Sou

Zing Sou, from her real name Zing Su, is a painter born in 1984 in Canton, China. She spent her childhood traveling. When she just graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2003, she left to France to finish her studies, at the Superior School of Art and Medias of Caen, where she graduated in 2011. She then turn to painting, drawing and photography.

Zing Sou's work gets inspired by the visual codes of tales. The artist gives particular importance to illusion, which allows him to indirectly denounce the faults of our societies. Human nature is simply represented, almost naively. The innocence of the children world mobilized by Zing Sou allows him to highlight in an exacerbated and frank way the anxiety at work in our lives, the greed, selfishness, desire... All the vices that go through the mind of a child strike the viewer and makes him think.

Zing Sou paints heroes from famous tales, such as the Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel in a detailed inclusion: She wants to be heard by the public and for that she uses the popular codes and symbols. The Society is read through stories that were present in our childhood, and the result of this reading is challenging.
