Anne Kjaersgaard is a ceramist, born in Copenhagen in 1933.
From 1950 until 1954, she studied at the Kunsthåndvaerkerskolen design school which became the Royal Fine Arts School in Denmark in 2011. From 1955 until 1957, she worked in Bernard Leach's workshop in England. She then moved to France and become a potter.

In 1959, she met Jean Linard, a potter himself and married him in 1964. The married couple settled down in Neuvy-Deux-Clochers and decided to build their house in an old flint quarry. The latter was later classified as a historical monument. From A962 until 1969, Anne Kjaersgaard and Jean Linard gave birth to four children. They got divorced in 1973.

Anne Kjaersgaard's pottery work is easily recognizable. The ceramist combines painting, indecision and asserted forms. She likes to work sandstone with blue or red paint, colors are usually reserved for porcelain and earthenware. She is the first person in France to liberate her turning gesture.

Anne Kjaersgaard died in 1990, in Neuvy-Deux-Clochers.
