Born in 1948, a professional photographer, but always passionate about art, Sam is one of those artists who came later on to painting. Some famous examples, such as Jean Dubuffet Alberto Burri, showed that maturity may mean that the artist's work is created late, but already accomplished, as it's been sleeping for a long time in the artist's subconscious.
About ten years ago, the first recognition of his work happened by his show at the Storme gallery in Lille. His recent show at the Dorval Gallery in Lille, presenting his "libraries" and some paintings inspired by New York at the, was a big hit.
