Yves Arson is a French painter and sculptor, born in Paris in 1953. He spent his childhood in Paris, surrounded by artists such as Poliakoff, Prat, André Lhote, who were friends of his grand mother. He then moved to the South with his parents and settled in Gordes in Luberon. He joined the Fine Arts school at the age of 16. Initially interested by painting, he turned towards architecture and eventually gave it up.
The following part of his career alternated between painting and sculpture. He developed his visual unique language, focusing around his obsession for women, according to Arson woman was the path towards perfection. His series "Culs d'Arson" is a perfect portrayal of the artist's quest, his Holy Grail which is indeed women. However, he encourages us to look beyond the image, towards his unique creations as they're filled with history and dream. Recently, the artist began pictorial work.
