Born in 1947 - France
Born in 1947 in Clermont-Ferrand. In 1972, Eric Neveu is hired by Daniel Filipacchi to be his accountant assistant. A year later, he is in charge of the publishing of his art books on surrealism and the American photorealism.
In 1979, Daniel Filipacchi asks him to move to the United States, where he discovers photography. He produces his first series of photographs of automobiles, and organizes an exhibition of 40 of these images at his return in France, which are sold on the opening day.
In 1983, he starts working for the Penthouse magazine. His success in the United States prompted Daniel Fillipacchi to ask him to launch a new magazine, which will be called Newlook (named after his dog). This magazine becomes, as early as its fourth issue, the first erotic magazine in Europe, with 600,000 copies sold per month. This success, Daniel Fillipacchi puts him in charge of the direction of many magazines including Union, Him, Penthouse etc...
Since 2008, Eric Neveu decided to devote himself to personal works on other topics (fish, cities, cats, planes, abstract photographs, etc…)
In June 2009, his aircraft photos are exposed at the Bourget Air Show in the form of a giant slide show in the Masterjet booth, the biggest private aviation company in Europe. In May-June 2010, he exhibited at the Musée du Montparnasse (700 people visited the show), and his work become part of two of the largest private collections in the world. He defines himself as a "manipulator of images for decorative purposes".
