Laurence Garnesson is a French painter born in 1967. She currently lives and works in Paris.
The artist's paintings and drawings are part of an abstract universe, although they can not be completely ascribe to abstraction. The structures that found her pieces, dressed with the patient work of the artist, end up emitting the sensation of an emotional, inner landscape. Other compositions, lighter ones, evoke the ephemeral. "Brief encounters are made, fragile ties are established and an underneath formation takes place in the base. Like a pavane that unfolds by lifting towards the light but where dancers always come back to the ground", said Maria Lund about the work of the artist.
Laurence Garnesson's work is internationally recognized. She exhibits her work in France, Europe, China, Japan and South Korea since 1992. Her pieces are also part of private collections, such as the Gautier collection, the Tiffon Collections and the Bi Sun Jae Collection. In 2015, the artist was granted the Plastic Arts Prize by the Charles Oulmont Foundation.
