Yannick Hélard

Born in 1967 in Aix en Provence, Yannick Hélard discovered painting and the Visual Arts in 1981. He attended the Regional School of Fine Arts in Caen and studied painting with Léo Marschultz in Aix en Provence from 1986. From 1988, he joined the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and worked in the studio of Leonardo Crémonini, a significant founding encounter, a real initiation into the meaning and philosophy of painting and its practice. Still at the ENSBA from 1991 to 1993, he showed a particular attraction for "psychoanalysis of Art" and art therapy with Christian Gaillard, founder of the art therapy section at Sainte Anne hospital. For the preparation of the work for the diploma, it receives the support of Henri Cueco and Marcelin Pleynet. After a few years in the Paris region, he made the decision, largely thought through, to join Brittany, a region that would be the ferment and the source of human and artistic development for the years that followed. Yannick Hélard lives and works in Lannion.
