Presentation

After a year at the Beaux-Arts, I built my artistic itinerary thanks to numerous courses and technical internships: drawing, watercolor, acrylic, oil, inks, pastels, collages, but also engraving, sculpture, modeling.

I trained as an art therapist where mediations in addition to painting greatly interested me such as writing, clay or dance. Influenced by the School of Paris, Abstract Expressionism, Cobra, Dubuffet and singular art, I worked on an expressive painting of which some works are part of the collection of “Art Cru” in Bordeaux. My questions from that time sought to reconcile meaning and energy, with the emphasis on material and pictorial gesture.

After a period of hiatus, the desire to paint returned through the practice of writing and drawing in ink in my notebooks. I was interested in oriental philosophies and conceptions on art, with readings among others by François Jullien and François Cheng, the discovery of Chinese and Japanese writers, poets, painters, the practice of yoga and meditation. So for about ten years I have been working mainly with Indian ink, drawing inspiration from the oriental way: stick ink, calligrapher's brush, rice paper, marouflage. But, remaining a Western painter, I also like to use ink on canvas, combined with one or more mediums (oil, acrylic ...). I saw ink as a do, a path, a path. Like a walk in the Chinese garden, it requires a spirit of detachment full of presence. It requires a content letting go, an uncontrolled mastery. It allows time to be tamed so that things to come happen, wave after wave, breath after breath, series after series.
