Ipso facto is an artist whose style is close to the Pop Art movement. Born in 1972 in Niort, he lives and works in the Toulouse region.
Initially influenced by the Flemish painting of the 17th century and by painters such as Soreau or D'Arthois, Ipso Facto has gradually changed direction to today his style can be related to Pop Art and new realism.
He is influenced by artists such as Harry Ekman or Conor Harrington; he creates works mid-way between classic images and today's graffiti. In his universe, color is the strongest element and a certain lightness is reflected in the lines and bubbles he draws -- these are subterfuges he uses to get to the final result.
Ipso Facto combines aerosol paint and brush painting to get to the very elaborate effect that is visible in his works. A final touch of resin brings brilliance and adds transparency. His search for innovation combined with his cabinetmaking skills lead him to experiment, rethink and rework his supports by cutting them. His work has been recognized at various salons, has won several awards and is sold by several auction houses.
