Born in 1980 - France

Amo is a French artist who lives and works in Marseilles. Virginie Biondi alias Amo experiments with different techniques and mediums. She is a member of the collective Déviante Morvel, created at the Beaux-Arts School in Angoulème (France), where she has studied. Very marked by urban art, her work is structured, violent and colorful.

Over the years, Virginie Biondi's painting has become more rich, using techniques to assert its colorful and experimental approach of urban art. It expresses her complex and structured vision of the city. Supported by her mastery of the dripping technique, this urban universe comes to life through dynamic perspective lines. Amo's paintings of both still and in dynamic.

She also produces completely crazy works entirely made of scotch tape. In these works, the curves and the drips become raw tape lines. Her work is always graphic and poetic, whether she represents faces that turn into enigmatic masks, urban compositions or her typographical research in flashy drippings.
