Born in 1970 - France
Angélique Boudet is a photographer who lives and works in Marseille. She grew up in the South of France, in a family of artists. Angélique Boudet looks at the beauty of the world and captures it in her works: the image and the text create a balance and are a source of emotions.
After traveling around the world, Angélique Boudet has settled in Marseilles, by the sea. With a very subtle approach, her photographs seem to always go beyond the visible, they are suspended mid-way between heaven and earth.
She works primarily with medium format cameras (Rolleiflex) from the '60s. She loves the quality and smoothness of their images: "The velvety feel of an image taken with a Rolleiflex would never be the same taken with a digital camera".
In 2013, Angélique Boudet has been invited to expose at the Pavillon M for Marseille European Capital of Culture and in 2014, at the Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste in Brazil. In 2002, she received the special prize of the jury of the Gangart awards (Intercultural Arts on the net) for her work.
