Ann Grim

Ann Grim grew up between Buenos Aires, Paris, Montevideo, Cape Town and London and her body of work is informed by the different cultures that she got to know this way. Ann Grim's family is a creative one, which lead her to look for the "unique and exceptional" and develop her own artistic vocabulary. She studied at Penninghen, Cambridge and École du Louvre-Drouot formation.

Ann Grim is interested in creating high quality pieces, inhabited by emotions and meaning. She creates an harmonious order for the eye and the mind, a refined study of human morphology, forms that appeal to the body and the spirit. Her creations combine ambitious forms, excellent materials, craftsmanship and instinct to create symbiotic mixes revealing an experimental kind of beauty. From "oversize to micro-treatment", her creations can be situated somewhere contemporary art and design.

For Ann Grim, each piece is conceived like a work of art addressing all the senses. Physical comfort is connected to moral comfort, with a little bit of irony and destabilisation.
