Born in Lille in 1975, Isabelle Vayron has traveled extensively during her studies. She studied at the Journalism Institute in Paris. In 1998, she traveled for six months, cycling and horse riding with cowboys in New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand.
With her cousin Xavier, she has travelled 17,500 km by bike, in twenty-one countries, from Paris to Beijing, to meet about a hundred musicians and singers, professional or amateur, that she has filmed, recorded, photographed and interviewed (1999-2001).
Isabelle Vayron has also driven by motorcycle from Paris to Kabul, in 2003, and took pictures for stories in Australia for the Saola agency, for magazines such as Terre sauvage, VSD et Grands Reportages, en Océanie pour GEO, Le Nouvel Observateur, La Vie and Télé 7 Jours, in India for the agency Explorer, Grands Reportages, Biba and Cheval Magazine. She has participated in adventure TV programs broadcast on M6 (France) in 1998.
Isabelle Vayron loves extreme sports: parachuting, bungee jumping, enduro bike, surfing, skwall. She has also climbed the Kilimanjaro and made a reportage in the Arusha national park, Tanzania, for the agency Explorer (1997). For Altitude, the photo agency of Yann Arthus-Bertrand , she has worked from 2004 to 2007 on interviews and reportages around the world.
She took part in Yann Arthus-Bertrand's project "6 billion others" before to and in 2008 she exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris works that were the result of more than ten years of travels. She takes part in various projects such as Thalassa in 2011, "The Great Traveller" and continues to work on reportages such as "Through Your Eyes", a series of eight episodes in Europe, Brazil and Cambodia broadcast by Arte.
