Born in 1987 - France
Bastien Cuenot is a French artist born in Vélizy-Villacoublay in 1987. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Aix-en-Provence, where he currently lives and works.
Bastien Cuenot is a sculptor and plastic artist. He loves the making of crafts and the long and meticulous processes that sculpture involves. The choice of material, and what it evokes, is at the heart of his art. Bastien Cuenot's work revolves around the playful universe of childhood and caricatures, the criticism of society, violence, suffering, death and art.
His works have been exhibited at The Contemporary Art Fair "ART-UP" in Lille in 2014 as well as in the "ST-ART" in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He also benefited from several exhibitions at the Sfeir Roy gallery in 2015.
