Born in 1964, Anne Vignal is graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Paris and works in a studio at the Arches d’artistes in Issy-les-Moulineaux. Since 1986 she has had shows regularly in France and abroad (Barcelona, Amsterdamn, Seoul, Hong-Kong...).
Her works are part of prestigious collections such as Fondation Florence and Daniel Guerlain, Fondation Colas, Egypt Ministry of Culture. In 2012, her works were presented outdoors in the Jardin des Invalides in Paris.
Inspired by her trips to Africa and Asia, Anne Vignal's oil paintings are "enlightened meditations in which colors becomes more intense and surfaces of color, colored fluctuations, brush strokes and evolutive tones coexist". (Nadira Laggoune-Aklouche)
In 2010, the artist starts to explore ways to put color in space and recreate the vibration of her canvases. She uses large collages, pieces of paper painted on both sides, under plexiglass, balanced by the wind, in which the light becomes part of the work. She also creates sculptures, curved metalic sheets, painted and combined so that colors meet each other.
