Alain Rivière-Lecoeur, franco-american photographer, began his career in New-York, working with portraitist Hans Namuth to learn lighting and technical rigor and stylist Don Sagramoso to reach an understanding of texture and organic matter.
Chairs de terre is one of Alain Rivière-Lecoeur's new projects. Bodies captured in mid-movement. Man and mineral, skin and primal earth. A two-year personal project which captures, beyond mere human bodies, moments of intense emotion and abandonment.
In his new work, Chairs de Terre, the artist shapes and sculpts. Bodies are revealed through the organic matter that surrounds and binds them. The lens highlights the intimacy revealed by the contact between bodies and earthly matter.
