Nathalie Deshairs is a French artist born in 1964 in Grenoble. Today she lives and works in Menton. She studied at the Beaux-Arts School of Aix-en-Provence. In 2014, after teaching at the Plastic Art School of Menton, Nathalie Deshairs decides to focus exclusively on her artwork.
In her creations, realized with a black stone and Chinese ink, Nathalie Deshairs talks about lightness, weightlessness of the soul relieved of the earth contingency. Color is very important in her work, even if it is always transparent and evanescent. The lines dance, intertwine and bring out toper of a monochrome background, elusive bodies, between spirituality and materiality: a painting full of nuances and fineness that avoids weightlessness but evokes the gravity of the world.
