Pascal Frament was born in 1968. A graduate of the Lyon Beaux-Arts, he lives and works in Meudon.
Pascal Frament's paintings are in the continuity of his videos. His "argentic paintings" (oil on canvas) are closely connected to photography, and project the viewer in a world that has a slow rhythm, that suggest a "before" and an "after, a sort of timelessness.
Pascal Frament's works cross our age and touch our thoughts and memory, and maybe enev our subconscious, as dreams do, and allow us to be our own spectators. Art, like dreams, is the result of an inconscious process that condenses several thoughts in one image.
