Thierry Diers studied at the St Luc Tournai, Belgium (Yvan Theys?s studio). His first gallery exhibition was held in Lille in 1975 with Eugène Dodeigne and Eugène Leroy.
In 1978, he moved to Paris, and his figurative creations become closer to an ?abstract expressionism".
During the 1980s he collaborated with galleries Le Dessin (Claire Burrus), Jacob (Denise Renard) and Diane Manière.
During the 90s he travelled to Egypt, Japan, China, Mongolia, he has shows in Germany, Belgium and Ireland and produced "Jamais le hasard" (Never by Accident) for France Télécom in Geneva.
From 1988 to 2000, Diers wanted to put into practice the concept of "the entrepreneur artist" and founded the DEC sarl and collaborated with several big companies (PSA, Mulliez, Eutelsat, France Telecom, Nestle...).
Afer the year 2000, Thierry Diers got a studio in Belleville, a dynamic neighborhood at the heart of contemporary creation.
Today, from the abstract spaces of his first paintings to the current non-figuration, Thierry Diers invents a recognizable specific writing, a language. In its singularity, the universe of the painter becomes the world of the beholder. This gaze narrates the world.
His works are present in many private and company collections (Automobiles Peugeot, BNP Paribas, Carat, Everest, Firmenich, France Telecom, Galderma, Herta-Nestlé , Kleber Palace, KPMG, Martell & co, Pernod- Ricard, Inscape Tokyo, Vivendi ... ) as well as in institutions (FNAC, Free University of Brussels, National Gallery of Alaanbaataar in Mongolia) .
