Jimmy Ruf was born on January 31, 1980 in Senlis, and he received a double Maîtrise in Art History and Plastic Arts from the Picardie Jules Verne University in Amiens.
He also got a Masters degree in Fine Art from the ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels.
He works with various mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture, installation, in order to give birth to a mental universe who should transmit to the viewers his own experiences; that viewers are confronted de-facto, when seeing the works, with their personal histories.
Jimmy Ruf lives and works in Brussels.
