Presentation
Jerome Bauduin, aka DUB, is a French artist, born in Paris in 1970. He lives and works in Nîmes.
He graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-arts in Nimes.
Jerome Bauduin is known for his oil paintings of urban landscapes that play with figuration and abstraction. The paintings of this artist take on a whole different meaning when we look at them from near or far: a cluster of signs and abstract colors on one hand and urban dynamic scenes on the other. Jerome Bauduin is a true poet of urban nights, he shows this through bright halos and liquid colors, as the artist tries to capture our feeling about the city, which goes beyond the architectural representation of the post card.
His nocturnal universe is inspired by by both comic books and music.
In 2015, Critères éditions dedicated a book about him which recounts the beginning of his career, evolution at work and thoughts.
He exhibited at Bear Galerie Uzes and Galerie Artmundi, in Paris.
