Born in 1979 - France
Catherine Haro is a French artist, born in 1979. She lives and works in St Etienne.
She did her training in restoration and conservation for easel paintings, and did her career in this field for almost eight years, before devoting herself to just painting in 2011.
For Catherine Haro, painting is like an outlet, a way of expressing those things she can't through words. Oil is her favorite tool, she likes its smooth and sculptural feeling. Her works are a reflection of her desires, doubts and emotions, which explains why the artist mainly does portraits, where a simple look reveals intimacy.
Although a figurative artist, Catherine Haro's paintings border abstract, and she often uses pieces of cloth, objects and various materials that she sticks, stitches or plasters, for an embossed effect.
Catherine Hari is permanently represented by the Inne'art Gallery.
