Timothée Talard

Born in 1983, Timothée Talard studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris between 2003 and 2009. During his studies, he went for 1 year at the UdK in Berlin. In 2010, he works as a professor of visual art for the Judicial Protection of the Youth in Paris for the reintegration of young people in difficulty.

Timothy Talard's work is inspired by populations cnsidered to be marginal, alternative lifestyles or the "underground" cultures as well as the representatives of the new "street culture".

His paintings and watercolours focus on the strength of the subject represented alone in the empty space, on a black or white background. The subject does not appear clearly, we can only guess it through the layout of the shapes; when the background is black the subject changes its appearance depending on the light and the point of view.

A pioneer among the artists of his generation, this young French artist became in 2010 the Muse of ready-to-wear brand agnès b, which seeks in his practice the image of tomorrow's women and men.
