Pierre-Marie and Matthieu Labbé are two young French designers.
They practice graphic design, video and music as well.
The objects conceive by the two acolytes are a vocation of embellishment, but they are not less engaged.
We perceive a hamburger at first sight, but then we realize that it is a LED lamp. An object with an atypical look, but above all an object presented in an original way, denouncing the effect of fast food, so popular today in our society. The same for the wax candle in human form. A wrapped character which literally melts under the heat of its flame, showing a lean body, uttering a cry of alert about the malnutrition of Third World countries.
The packagings they imagine add a touch of fantasy to the ordinary, but have also a societal and political purpose and they are made with recyclable materials.
