Sandra Aime grew up in an artistic environment, and in 2001 she debuted her artistic career.
To create her collages, Sandra Aime relies on a library of images directly inspired by the media: They are pop culture, universal icons, as well as images that stem from the artist's personal history. This paradox is at the origin of her practice, as Sandra loves to hijack the codes of representation.
In addition to collage, Sandra Aime also uses painting in her pieces in order to unify all the images on the surface of the artwork.
