Claudia Battesti was born in Lyon in 1956; she lives and works in Bastia (Corsica)
She was graduated from the school of the Fine Arts / Lyon, of the National School of the fine Arts / Paris, Decorative arts / Paris and of the College of higher education of arts and techniques of the theatre / Paris.
For decades she has been exploring rhythms, order, riot, full, spaces. Fascinated by multiple combinations of organic and architectural elements, she found her home territory in Asia 20 years ago by the discovery and the study of fishes’ cases. Today, she focuses on megalopolises, fascinating places where lines in perpetual movement are confronted.
She pushes the style of drawing and composition at the rupture limit. By the conjunction of a free and incisive feature, and of a living learnedly distilled chromaticism, she not only testifies from human organization, she thrusts us into the heart of an evolving process which exceeds our lives and gives us happiness to contemplate it.
