Born in 1976 - France
Born in 1976, Vulù had an active and eventful childhood. He lived in Canada, the US, the Caribbean, Belgium and Italy. Not having deep roots anywhere, he likes to consider himself from Turin, Italy, city where he spent all his adolescence and which gave him his nickname, the contraction of the word "Volonté"(desired).
He owes much of his inspiration to his parents who had the initiative of making him visit all the museums of the cities in which they lived. He was a high-level swordman, an industrial executive, a student at the opera singing Conservatory and at the Cours Florent school as well, he worked at the Samu Social de Paris to name just a few of his main accomplishments. In a period of his life where he was living isolated, he devoted himself to his art and to his convictions. It was the only way for him at that time, to make of his life a romantic adventure. Deeply libertarian, Vulù became part of and developed his talent in the artistical squats in Paris.
A self-taught artist, Vulù became interested in digital photography in 2007, always with the view of a painter. He does not only captures the moment, he creates it; dream worlds, exploring the unconscious and the inner self, his images question our conception of perception. He interprets reality, like a mad scientist, to disguise it with amazing emotions.
He excels in creating portraits of muses, by revealing very surprisingly all the femininity and fragility of these extraordinary women.
