Writer poet, sculptor, he defines himself as a "creator of bowls and texts about eyes" and then as a "printer of his own matter and own thoughts": "I write texts about eyes to be able to enter into my eyes and go where my body can't go, where I have never been with him, where I can't remember been touchable. To go there on the page, in my head, in space. I create bowls to be able to enter into my hands, and go where my eyes can't go, where I have never been with them, where I can't remember being visible. To go into the matter, in my body on earth (...)".
Not content to only write about the eyes, Jean-Luc Parant draws them in clay to create "soil books" or on a lithographic stones.
