Roger Capron is a French artist born in 1992.

He studied at the School of Applied Arts of Paris from 1938 to 1943 before teaching drawing in the same school since 1945.

When he discovered the art of ceramics he decided to change his field and to dedicate entirely to this art and moved to Vallauris in 1946. Once there he set up in the studio of Robert Picault and Jean Derval. Together they started a innovating approach on this traditional art. Beginning in the 50s the artist, the artist encountered Pablo Picasso who worked there as well.

Roger Capron's work is recognized in the artistic world and the artist won a gold medal at the Twentieth Triennial of Milan in 1945. In the beginning of the 2000s, he dedicated more to sculpture, an sculpting technique in three dimension holding on a base.
