Born in 1991 - France
Born in 1991, Pierre Barbel did a course in literature before turning towards fashion and getting enrolled at a fashion design college. This was a big opportunity as it opened doors to many great fashion companies. Eventually, he gave up everything and began photography or rather digitized painting.
Influenced by religious art, Pierre assimilates portraits of icons, highlighting their unique personality and embodiment.
To breathe life into his works, he mixes techniques like collage, drawing and digital transformation. The artist questions us on how we perceive ourselves and others. "By dint of dressing people, I decided to undress them in front of my camera".
After two successive awards of Art Capital at Grand Palais, Pierre Barbel is now a member of this fair.
