Born in Douarnenez in 1947, Paul Le Gall decided to live in the Ivory Coast at the age of 45 where he did a career in the military field and then worked as a teacher before moving to Britanny.
His artistic style has evolved a lot due to his trips and periods.
Initially, Paul displayed a lot of works dealing with ethics, created by mineral pigments and oxides. But since he settled down in Brittany, he has been exhibiting a lot of abstracts from Paris to Quimper. One can see that Le Gall is quite influenced by artists like Manabé Mabé and Zao wu ki.
Lately he has shifted gears and leans towards figuration highlighting naivety and humor combined with artistic reference and pop culture.
