Dominique Larrivaz

Dominique Larrivaz aka Larry, was born in 1961 in Paris. He did a classic training at the Beaux-Arts Paris and Avignon.

While an entire generation of artists were going to the streets to create street-art, Larrivaz was developing a whole new concept. Indeed, Dominique assimilates his work with prostitutes, exhibiting and calling them "filles", in Bois du Boulogne. Just like these women, his paintings need to unveil in order to seduce the passer-by and get him all the way to the artist's workshop.

One of the outcomes of this concept led him to open a new generation of galleries called the "Larry club", which is like the inside of a brothel, a subdued red atmosphere, with a sign at the entrance and his paintings are set up in an imposing manner.
