Born in 1974 - France
Arthur Lechner is a French artist born in 1974. A photographer by profession, he worked at first in a studio specialized in adversiting photography, while doing in parallel studies in literature and philisophy in Paris.
A self-taught artist, Arthur Lechner started painting and drawing at a young age, trying several media such as watercolor, pastels, charcoal and china ink. But it is oil painting which he prefers, he applies it in large colored flat surfaces, creating effects similar to abstraction.
Strongly inspired by pop art, some of his oil paintings refer to advertising codes, album covers of the 60s and American cinema.
His artistic expression has never been far from photography, we can clealy seen it in his graphic design work and in his mural art collections which has made him popular throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
