Xavier Devaud is an artist with a rich and eclectic career. Despite showing a rare precocity in matter of drawing, he soon abandons his art studies to turn to acting, that he will learned from Véra Gregh and Tania Balachova, at the Cours Florent school over many internships. He also started contemporary dancing, but drawing and painting continued to accompany him.
It is in 2011, after 7 years of social work for a suburban nursery, that a first exhibition at the Landowski space in Boulogne Billancourt, brings him in the world of Art. Since then, the projects, exhibitions and galleries came one after another for this talented artist.
Artists as De Kooning, Malevitch and Jeff Koons, while developing his own style, influence Xavier Devaud. His painting is at the boundary of representation and abstraction, and his technique goes from ink on canvas, to collage, charcoal or oil on photo.
His career of actor highly influence his artistic approach since he works on many projects in relation with performing arts, as the one led at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique of Paris with Daniel Mesguich.
Xavier Devaud is today an artist represented in five galleries and participates to international art fairs.
