Kamu is a group of painters born from the work of a married couple, Sergei and Olga. Sergei was born in Ukraine and studied at the Art School Academy of Art. Olga is originally from Russia and is part of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. The couple currently live and work in the outskirts of Paris.
Sergei deals mainly with the drawing, while Olga is in charge of the colors. In spite of this distribution of the work, Kamu's paintings are homogeneous and have consistency of motifs, which is the result of the good undertanding and sharing of the same vision of art of the two artists.
Like Yin and Yang, Kamu combines opposite influences, they mix feminity and masculinity, delicacy and brutality in their work. The complementarity of the artists enrich their work.
Kamu exhibits their work regularly in Paris.
