Born in 1947 - France
Jacques Wetterer is a French sculptor, born in 1947 in Strasbourg.
During his studies and career in dental techniques, Jacques grew curious with Biology.
Eventually, at the end of his career, Jacques decided to come back to his passion namely animals and began sculpting unceasingly. He had already had some experience in molding in his career, therefore reconverting was quite easy.
Jacques Wetterer has been fascinated by animals since his childhood, therefore when he decided to dedicate himself to this idea, he was enthusiastic about putting in many hours of training and observation to make his sculptures look real.
Today, many animal species are in danger, and this is another reason for Jacques to dedicate himself to his art and try to raise awareness.
