Eric Lacombe is a French artist born in 1968.
Initially, he embarked in a career as a graphic designer before starting an artistic practice inspired by digital art.
A self-taught painter, Eric Lacombe's work focuses around melancholy and the other feelings that this emotion contains such as: fear, anxiety and sadness. His paintings seek to explore every corner of the human soul and become its mirror.
Eric Lacombe's paintings are characterized by the treatment of a unique subject: a harmonious use of figurative elements and very expressive brush strokes on several layers. He deconstructs his subject and highlights its three dimensional qualities.
Eric Lacombe creates pieces with mixed techniques, which means that he uses several materials on the surface of the same canvas: acrylic, paper, oil, glue etc.
Eric Lacombe's work is displayed in several private collections, as well as in group and private exhibitions.
