Didier Becquart is a French sculptor, born in 1953.
Didier Becquart's encounter with sculpture was due to fate, when he met a sculptor who introduced him to clay molding. Initially a founder of art, this meeting was a true revelation for Didier therefore he chose to begin working with bronze before molding.
In order to learn, Didier Becquart joined Ecole d’Arts Appliqués in Roubaix, and this helped him become more professional in terms of technique and approach, while treating the subject. The artist decided to focus on body language and the female figure.
Didier Becquart didn't stick to one material only but: wax, resin, clay. He likes to experiment with everything, give meaning and energy to anything he touches. His true wish is to give life and strength to his work.
