Mimi Rico is a French artist born in 1977.
When he was only four years old, Mimi Rico left Saint-Malo to go live in the Canary Islands where he still lives and works to this day. Given the fact that art was always very present throughout his childhood, he tried his hand at both music and painting. After a short while, he started looking for his own artistic expression which he found in images and ideas. He seeks to express his inner experiences and share them with the outside world.
In order to express all his emotions and feelings, Mimi Rico feels the need to use and combine various techniques. The artist draws, paints and cuts images from fashion magazines in order to put them all together on a single canvas by using the collage technique. His odd yet surprising and humurous works of art exude a sort of communicative energy.
