Born in 1959 - France
Born in 1959 in Asniere, Corinne Vallière is a French sculptor.
After having spent her childhood in Alsace, she went to study at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Appliqués et Métiers d'Art in Paris. She specialized in ceramic sculpture and joined industrial and handmade workshops. She opened her own workshop in Hautes-Alpes in 1986 and became an independent artist.
In this workshop, Corinne Vallière experiments with various materials and fuming and firing techniques. Her favorite theme is the human body and at times she creates anthropomorphic beings, which symbolizes the bestiary nature of a man. She only listens to her intuitions and emotions to create. A way of being one with nature and universality.
