A painter at first, he eventually discovered his vocation for sculpture. Self-taught, he quickly felt the need to shape, carve, create and express, women and the female anatomy are his favorite subjects.
The challenge of Jean-Christophe Cronel's work is to create a desire, to touch, to decipher what the body is trying to tell us, confronting the viewer with his thoughts, desires, fears. The vectors of this perception are the aesthetics and the instinctive perception of the observer in front of the body.
