Born in 1953 - France

Rémou, whose real name is Jean-Claude Mouré, is a French sculptor originally from Tours born in 1953.
Living between artists, it was until the age of 60 that this art collector decided to start sculpting.

Not being an artist by profession, his creations are simple and accessible to a wide range of public. They were born from the simple desire of adding a little color in his garden but very soon, the artist realized that he really enjoy it. He started making trials on cardboard before folding and welding his metal structures.

In his pieces we can perceive a certain nostalgia from his childhood and from his first pictorial experiences . The simple shapes, the straight lines and the bright colors are reminiscent of Origamis and of paper shapes that children do in elementary school.
